England in the Final

Well.. Well.. Well.. What do you know.. England made it to the final. After being entirely written off prior to the world cup, England have just landed themselves into the finals.

It seems that they finally getting their act together despite Johnny Wilkinson not being in top form. Unlike in 2003, where he didn't seem to miss any penalties or drop goals, this year he's missed more than score.

Well its all down to the final whether England can pull off an upset and win their 2nd World Cup, which will ultimately make them and Australia as the two teams with the most World Cup wins.

Well it'll be an interesting game tonight as well with the Argentina taking on South Africa who may be the favourites to go all the way.

On another note it was good to see Sri Lanka back to winning ways and good to see Dilhara get 6 wickets. He's been really good since coming after the Twenty20 world cup.

Sri Lanka lose again...

Well its seem we are making a habit of losing these days. The momentum just isn't with us anymore. The openers aren't attacking the bowling as they should and as result Sidebottom and co. seem to have wrapped a leash on our batting.

All that is left is the 5th one-dayer and hopefully our guys can motivate themselves and come up a win. At least the going 3-2 down is better than 4-1 down.

Champions Trophy Underway

The first qualifying match of the champions trophy got underway today with SL coming off victorious. Our guys played well, especially Tharanga betting extremely well. Nice to seem scoring big runs. He's got more centuries than fifties and also more away than at home.

His shot selection was superb. our bowling was a little waywarin the middle and didn't tighten up. Dilhara i think bowled really fast, the fastest i have ever seen him bowl. He bowled 93mph ball that nearly took Ashraful's head off. Anyways it was good start after months of no cricket.

on the other hand Euro 2008 qualifiers resume today. Italy take on Ukraine today. Hope they can pull this one of today. Donadoni is on alot of pressure already.

Lame Draws

Hi there... Wasn't able to blog recently due to some error on the bloging tool on firefox.

Anyways Milan have come down badly with 3 draws in a row.. Hope they can find their shooting boots soon.. It like a dry spell of goals!
